Microsoft kicked off day one of its Xbox @ Gamescom 2024 livestreams with a release date for its new Xbox Series X/S consoles. They’re out on October 15th, followed by “select countries” on October 29th. Pre-orders have recently gone live – check out the trailer below.
They include the Xbox Series S 1 TB (Robot White), Xbox Series X 1 TB Digital Edition (Robot White), and Xbox Series X 2 TB Special Edition (Galaxy Black). As previously announced, the Digital Edition won’t have a disc drive and retails for $449.99. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S 1 TB costs $349.99, while the 2 TB model retails for $599.99.
Microsoft also provided a list of countries and regions on where the new consoles will be available. These include the United States, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, and many more.
Exceptions include “Argentina, Brazil, Chile, India, Israel, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, and UAE,” with the availability of consoles varying based on region. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
